Patricia Crone is faced with a difficult choice. On one hand, science suggests that some chemicals in marijuana, or cannabis, may have the potential to fight cancer. On the other hand, federal law prohibits the use of marijuana for medical purposes. Despite the life-and-death stakes, Patricia is caught in a stand-off between science and the law.
