The Virginian: Mild-mannered George Foster, a bank clerk, has been writing to his father telling him that he is the sheriff of Medicine Bow. When George's father comes for a visit, Emmett Ryker and the Virginian convince the town to pretend that George is indeed the sheriff and Ryker is his deputy.
