Lovejoy: Ashley Wilkes is an artist who swans around East Anglia painting pictures of pretty country cottages and seducing the women who live in them. A British army officer hires Lovejoy to track Wilkes down, on the pretext of having a job for him, but Lovejoy smells a rat. When he finally catches up with the elusive Wilkes, he finds the ladykiller has a terrible secret.
