Emily Taylor (Rooney Mara) reunites with her husband Martin (Channing Tatum), who had spent four years in prison. Despite that, Emily has a case of depression, where she makes attempts to commit suicide and having episodes of emotion. She goes to her psychiatrist (Jude Law), who gives her a prescription medicine to deal with her emotional state. Then, the suspense ensues.
